Our team of specialists combines scientific expertise with a passion for endurance sports, ensuring that every athlete receives personalized, evidence-based guidance. Iain Findlay – Managing Director, Bike Fit Specialist

Iain Findlay is an IBFI Level 4 accredited bike fitter with an MSc in Sports Biomechanics and extensive experience in optimizing cycling performance. As Managing Director of Pain Free Power, Iain is dedicated to improving rider efficiency, comfort, and injury prevention through world-class bike fitting services.

With a deep understanding of cycling biomechanics, Iain has worked with athletes of all levels, from beginners to professionals, helping them achieve better positioning and long-term success on the bike. He is also an instructor in bike fitting, sharing his expertise to advance the field and ensure more riders experience the benefits of a precise, science-backed fit.

Alex Smethurst – Triathlon & Cycling Coach, Bike Fitter

Alex Smethurst is a triathlon and cycling coach with a PhD in Psychology, bringing an evidence-based and analytical approach to training. As a competitive triathlete, Alex has achieved podium finishes at both the Swedish Championship Olympic distance and Ironman 70.3 events. She specializes in coaching cyclists and triathletes of all levels, from first-time competitors to top Age Group athletes.

Alex believes in a holistic coaching approach, designing personalized training plans that optimize performance, improve endurance, and prevent injury. As a certified bike fitter, she also ensures athletes are set up for success on the bike, enhancing comfort, efficiency, and biomechanics. Most importantly, Alex is passionate about making training enjoyable, helping athletes thrive both physically and mentally while working towards their goals.

Jakob Larsson – Strength Coach, Bike Fitter

Jakob Larsson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Science from Mittuniversitet in Östersund and is a certified personal trainer accredited by Frisk-Licens. With a strong background in endurance sports, Jakob has a particular passion for cycling and cross-country skiing, always seeking the key elements that help athletes—from beginners to professionals—perform at their best and enjoy training to its fullest.

Jakob specializes in strength training for endurance athletes, helping them build resilience, reduce injury risk, and improve overall performance. As a trained bike fitter, he also focuses on optimizing cycling position and biomechanics to enhance both comfort and efficiency. His coaching philosophy centers around making training both effective and enjoyable, ensuring that every athlete can pursue their dreams with confidence.
